Smile, your teeth are in the spotlight today. Did you know that a healthy mouth can help you maintain a healthy body? Bad oral health has been linked to heart disease, endocarditis, premature birth, or low birth weight, and even different cancers. It’s why taking care of your teeth, gums, and mouth hygiene is so important. Here’s what you need to practice.
Brush your teeth with fluoride toothpaste at least twice a day. Choose the right toothbrush for your mouth and replace it often, and don’t forget to brush your tongue. Treat flossing as important as brushing your teeth. Flossing gets into places that your toothbrush just can’t floss your teeth at least once a day. Consider adding a mouthwash into your regime. Even with all the brushing and flossing,
you might still miss a spot. Mouthwash helps take care of that for you. Plus it cuts the amount of acid in your mouth. Lower your intake of sugar, or even better get rid of sugar entirely. Increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. Avoid tobacco products and sodas. Seek professional dental care.
